Chris Benfield
Benfield’s projects range in scale from single-family residences and mid-rise buildings to flagship retail spaces for some of the world’s most influential brands. His strategic positioning of art, architecture, and design has proven to drive creative and innovative solutions for clients, including Atelier, Rick Owens, Balenciaga, and Dover Street Market.
His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States and is published in ID Magazine, 306090, Interior Design Magazine, OBJEKT International, PIDGIN, and Clear Magazine. His most recent design project, Ant/dote, a multi-label fashion boutique in Atlanta, was published in Vogue and recently featured in Wallpaper* Magazine’s, “Step into the greatest fashion boutiques from around the world”.
Benfield holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Fine Arts degree with distinction from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has taught and guest lectured at a number of schools including Pratt Institute, Art Center College of Design, College for Creative Studies, and the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
