His creations combine modern design with traditional Italian craftsmanship in new forms of Italian modernism, based on a minimalist aesthetic.
The Italian architect and designer Franca Helg (1920-1989) joined Albini’s studio in 1951 and worked on all of the subsequent projects with him, including the armchairs designed for Bonacina in 1950. Together they designed the stations of Milan’s line 1 & 2 metro stations.
