Interested in longevity and classicism, the artist considers the artefacts that have survived to us from antiquity, condensing factors such as charismatic styles and material resilience into his own artworks, that they might live on for millennia too.

French designer Eric Schmitt believes that “a piece of furniture needs to exude silence so it can be loved for a long time.” Rather than explaining his work, he prefers to let his objects speak for themselves.
