Italian sculptor Giacomo Ravagli carves the plaster bases of his Vulgata lamps into tight angles, mirrored in the overhead lampshade.

Fracturing reality, he makes it difficult for the viewer to perceive each piece, always leaving some facet hidden from sight. Room is left for a little mystery, seducing the viewer and appealing to something other than their immediate senses.

Each lampshade is constructed from microscopically thin layers of an Indian stone, mica, arranged within a metal frame. The natural grain and chromaticism of the stone is illuminated as the light passes through it, revealing random crystalline patterns.
