Symbolising generosity and interconnectedness, the sculpture features plants rich in pollen and nectar: violet-coloured clovers, lamb’s ears and lavender, and herbaceous tansy reflect on the way we can support biodiversity by offering wild pollinators a snack in our gardens. The soft, furry leaves of lamb’s ears capture morning dew and offer fuzz that is used by wild bees for making nests in decayed wood.

Artist Biography

Marcin Rusak is an artist and multidisciplinary designer whose work explores themes of nature, beauty and the passage of time. Drawing on his heritage as a descendant of flower growers, he transforms research and experimentation into unique materials and experiences that reframe everyday details and question our ways of consuming, valuing, and relating to the natural world.
