Spanish artist Nacho Carbonell is known for imbuing objects with personality in order to stir the viewer’s feelings and imagination. The new Getty Table, Landform 2025. Miami (317/2025) features sprawling metal structures emerging from two solid, jagged bases resembling rocky landforms. These support a long, rectangular tabletop that conveys a sense of material depth through the textured colour effect found in its surface. The work continues Carbonell's exploration of organic form and hybrid materials but through a distinct structural approach compared to many of his other recent collections.
