This pair of armchairs was designed in the 1950s by Zanine Caldas. This version is a custom order with natural reeds and nylon cords. It features a cushion upholsterd in a linen fabric, and installed with a star-shaped spring system. The contrast of the geometric black metal feet with the reeds creates a balanced and innovative aspect.

Artist Biography

José Zanine Caldas (1919-2001) was a self-taught artist, designer and architect from Belmonte, Brazil.
