Inspired by architectural structures, Hermien Cassiers creates intimate sculptures from intertwined gold links.

The composition of each piece in her Formula X collection is based on a variety of mathematical formulae, that each time results in unique chains with differing flexibility, movements, and volume.

Airy, subtle and poetic, her works are gold sculptures to wear, manufactured by hand in her studio. The design of BI Bracelet is such that there is no closure, one simply slides the bracelet over the hand.

Artist Biography

Far from traditional jewellery, Hermien Cassiers (Belgium, 1991) studied design at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Art. Inspired by Architecture and Volume, she creates geometrical gold links, craftily intertwined each other.
