Designed during the pandemic, this table-side light stands on short legs with a large mushroom like shade. As part of Frederik Molenschot’s ‘Lockdown Series’ this lamp was designed to convey light, hope and inspiration during the extensive periods of isolation caused by COVID-19. The lamp achieves this by shining directly down onto the highly polished oval shape used to form a front ‘leg’, giving the piece a soft and warm dimension.

Artist Biography

Frederik Molenschot is an artist and designer from the Netherlands who describes himself as a landscape sculptor. Known for crafting large, robust sculptures out of bronze, Molenschot transforms what he finds in natural, industrial, urban and cosmic landscapes into archetypes and then objects.
