Included in the artist's show ATLAS 2000, Lockdown Molen Face is part of Frederik Molenschot's ‘Lockdown Series’, made during the global pandemic. The series was designed to convey light, hope and inspiration during the extensive periods of isolation caused by COVID-19. The bronze light echoes the forms of Molenschot's acclaimed City Light series, casting beams of light from above.

Artist Biography

Frederik Molenschot is an artist and designer from the Netherlands who describes himself as a landscape sculptor. Known for crafting large, robust sculptures out of bronze, Molenschot transforms what he finds in natural, industrial, urban and cosmic landscapes into archetypes and then objects.
