The multi-band Candy Ring by Alice Cicolini is part of her TOTEM collection, comprising individual bands stacked on top of each other to form a sacred structure symbolic of a totem pole. Cicolini’s polychromatic use of 14k gold, white enamel and black diamonds is seen in complex twisted or dotted patterns among some of the bands, which are complemented by the monotone colours of others.

Artist Biography

Alice Cicolini is a British jewellery designer who draws her inspiration from the sacred architecture and patterns of the Silk Route. Her early work used traditional methods of craftsmanship of meenakari enamel and hand carved stone. Her jewellery explores collaboration and juxtaposition, craftsmanship and heritage, colour and pattern, and has been exhibited at the V&A Museum, Somerset House, and Sotheby’s London among others.
